When pasting a list of dates or strings into filter fields such as "contains one of" in Segment Traits or Audience Builder, the values are recognized as a single string instead of individual entries. This prevents users from efficiently building segments based on multiple dates.

Cause

The Segment platform requires pasted values in filter fields to be separated by tabs, not commas or line breaks. Using other separators results in the list being treated as a single string.

Resolution

Paste your list using tab-separated values to ensure each entry is recognized as an individual value in the filter field. Comma-separated or line-separated values will not be parsed correctly.
