Why is the Segment Session Attributes Encoded Plugin mapping in the Google Enhanced Conversions destination not sending events to Google Ads?

Answer

The Session Attributes Encoded Plugin mapping does not send events to Google Ads. This mapping is used to enrich Segment payloads with session attribution values from the page URL.

To send conversion events to Google Ads, configure a conversion action mapping, such as Click Conversion V2, and set the trigger to match the event you want to send.
