This article explains how to rotate the OAuth client secret used for a Databricks Warehouse integration in Segment. Rotating the client secret helps maintain security and ensures continued connectivity between Segment and Databricks.

Procedure
- Generate a new OAuth client secret in Databricks following Databricks documentation. Copy and securely store the new secret immediately after it is generated.
- In the Segment Console, navigate to the Databricks Warehouse connection settings.
- Enter the new client secret in the appropriate field and save the changes.
- Use the “Test Connection” feature in Segment to confirm the integration is working with the new secret.
Additional Information
If the connection test fails, verify that the secret was entered correctly, all connection details are accurate, and the service principal has the necessary permissions. Refer to official Databricks documentation for more information on how to generate OAuth client secret.
