Which fields are required for the Segment LinkedIn Conversions API destination? I’m seeing errors about missing fields like currency, value, firstName, or lastName, but LinkedIn’s documentation says they are optional.

In the Segment LinkedIn CAPI destination, the fields currency, value, firstName, and lastName are only required if you map any one of them in your configuration. If you map one of these fields, you must map all four, or you will see an error when sending events. 

If you leave all four fields unmapped, events can be sent without errors, in line with LinkedIn’s documentation that marks these fields as optional.

To avoid errors:

• Only map these fields if you have values for all of them.
• If you do not have values for all four, leave them all unmapped.

Additional Information 

• If you continue to see errors after updating your mappings, review your event payloads to ensure no empty or null values are being sent for these fields.
