Answer

At the moment, providing a Service Account JSON Key is the only supported method for authenticating a Google Cloud Storage connection in Segment.

While Google Cloud supports service account impersonation and shared service accounts in other environments, Segment's destination connector is strictly designed to authenticate using a dedicated, customer-managed service account key. There is currently no alternative authentication method available within the Segment Console for this destination.
