Issue
Customers tracking advanced Meta ad campaigns may notice that Facebook Ads Dynamic Creative Asset breakdowns (asset-level details) are missing from their Segment warehouse syncs. When testing asset-level optimizations, split metrics representing specific asset combinations do not populate inside downstream data warehouses like BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.

Environment

Cause
Meta's Dynamic Creative feature allows advertisers to upload multiple images, videos, headlines, and descriptions at once. Facebook's automated system then dynamically mixes and matches these individual pieces together to show different variations to different users.
Segment’s integration is designed to pull standard, fixed reporting lines from Facebook (for example: "Ad A received 10 clicks today"). Dynamic Creative metrics, however, are constantly shifting and split across hundreds of temporary asset combinations. Because this data acts like a fluid matrix rather than a traditional, static ad layout, Segment's default Facebook Ads integration does not have a pre-built pathway to read, sort, and store these moving asset-level variations.
Resolution
Because this limitation requires a structural change to the integration schema, it cannot be fixed via configuration changes. To voice your need for this update, open a feature request with the Segment team:
Log into your Segment Console.
Navigate to the help menu and select Create Ticket.
In your ticket description, explicitly request a Feature Request for Meta Dynamic Creative Asset Breakdowns.
The Technical Support team will log this product gap directly with the Product and Engineering teams and alert your Customer Success Manager (CSM) to advocate for the update.
