What are the SLAs and limitations for deleting and suppressing users in Segment?

Question

What are the SLAs and limitations for deleting and suppressing users in Segment?

Product

Twilio Segment

Environment

Segment Console

Answer

Segment provides a 30-day SLA for deletions in its internal stores for up to 110,000 requests per calendar month (exceeding this triggers rate-limiting). This SLA does not apply to external destinations like Amazon S3, data warehouses, or third-party tools.

Additionally, Segment creates a SUPPRESS regulation to add the userId to your suppression list. This is usually processed within 24 hours, but can take up to 30 days depending on your workspace's queue.
