Can I port my Google Voice number?

Yes, you can port Google Voice numbers to Twilio as long as they are 10-digit US numbers. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Unlock the Number: Before porting a number away from Google Voice, you must unlock the numbers through your Google account.
  2. Documentation: Instead of an official billing document, submit a screenshot of the page that confirms you have unlocked the numbers in your Google account. Kindly take a screenshot of the Google Voice settings page, ensuring that the unlocked phone numbers and your email address appear in the screenshot.
  3. Letter of Authorization (LOA):` Confirm that the first name, last name, and address you provide on the LOA match those in your profile exactly.
  4. Porting Process: To begin porting your number, visit the Porting page in the Twilio Console and enter the necessary information regarding the numbers you'd like to port.

By following these steps, you can successfully port your Google Voice numbers to Twilio.

Kindly note: The screenshots that you attach with the port requests should be in PDF format only, as our console doesn't accept image format. Also, in some cases, Google Voice numbers have a specific transfer PIN, which should be provided by the user.
