Can I expedite a port request?

Although it is not possible to expedite a port request, however, you can take steps to ensure a more streamlined process:

  1. Contact Your Current Carrier: Before submitting a port request, reach out to your current carrier to confirm the necessary details. This includes verifying the billing name and address that need to be entered on the Letter of Authorization (LOA).
  2. Verify Account Details: If the number is wireless, make sure to verify the account number and PIN with your carrier.
  3. Avoid Premature cancellation: Do not schedule a date to cancel service with your current carrier until after the number has successfully ported. Premature cancellation may cause the porting process to abort.

By following these steps, you can help ensure a smoother porting process.
