Before we begin

Due to regulatory requirements, there is sometimes a need for documents to be signed by customers to ensure that registrations are done on behalf of customers that have the right to use the Sender ID. This serves to ensure that traffic is coming from legitimate sources and minimizes any potential misuse.

This article outlines the documentation requirements for a pre-registration in Romania.

Please note that spaces are not allowed in the Alphanumeric Sender ID for Romania.

As of December 2024, Romania sender ID registrations are grouped into;

• URL Allowlisting (SID Registration only for MNC 03 Telekom Romania)
• Free registration towards MNC 03 Telekom Romania without URL Allowlisting
• Standard registration towards all networks in Romania which has a 760 USD one-time set up fee

Instructions for Standard Registration (All Networks with Fees)

The below applies to standard Alphanumeric Sender ID registrations towards all networks with 760 USD one-time set up fee.

To register your Alphanumeric Sender ID, the Romanian network operators Orange ,Digi, Vodafone, Telekom Romania  we will require the documents below as well either of the Template Agreement for label use or Template Agreement for Trademark use. Both agreements cannot be used together and must be either of each. That will make it 7 documents in total to fulfil the requirements

• Customer Romania LOA (Digi 1795)
• Customer Romania LOA (Orange 1795)
• Customer Romania LOA (Vodafone 1795)
• Customer Romania LOA (Digi 1836)
• Customer Romania LOA (Orange 1836)
• Vodafone LOA
• Template Agreement for label use (This document is applicable if the requested Sender ID/label is a registered trademark and must be filled by brand owner)
• Template Agreement for trademark use (This document is applicable if the Sender ID/label is not a registered trademark and needs to be filled in with identification elements specific to the client and by it's own legal representative.

To get you up and running as quickly as possible, please fill out the documents completely and accurately and provide any other required information. Use the examples provided for guidance. Note that mobile network carriers are very strict about the details! We highly recommend that you download the examples (hit right click, and select 'Save Image As...') and do a side by side comparison when you are filling out the documents.

Complete the LOA

The LOA authorizes Twilio, Inc., to register and send branded SMS messages on your behalf. 

Once you have downloaded the forms, follow these general instructions: 

1. Fill in the yellow highlighted fields—completely replace each field with your own information. If a field is not highlighted, don’t change it.
2. If you have questions on how to fill in the required fields, refer to the annotated examples we provided for each field. 
3. Have the documents signed by an authorized signatory of the Sender.
4. In the highlighted fields, add the Sender’s letterhead and/or logo, stamp and sign where indicated.
5. Upload the forms to the Twilio Alphanumeric Sender ID Registration Form.

Required fields include:

• Company Name
• Company Country
• Name and Title of authorized signatory
• Company Tax Code
• Alphanumeric Sender ID requested
• Signature of authorized signatory
