A2P 10DLC Campaign Vetting Delays: We are experiencing delays while vetting 10DLC campaigns. Our third party is reviewing campaigns manually, and due to the high volume of requests, a queue has built up. Campaign reviews are expected to take longer. Twilio is working with the provider to help expedite this process. New details will be shared in our incident report as soon they become available.

How do I know which WhatsApp onboarding process applies to me?

The following guide assumes you have already been granted access to WhatsApp and have onboarded WhatsApp senders.

If you are new to the WhatsApp Business API with Twilio, you can get started by following one of the two paths:

  • If you are a direct customer (sending messages on behalf of your own brand) you can get started on our Self Sign-Up flow here.
  • If you are an ISV (Independent Software Vendor), please request access here. Find out more information about onboarding as an ISV here.

Identify which WhatsApp onboarding process applies to your Twilio account

  1. Open the Twilio Console
  2. Navigate to Messaging -> Senders -> WhatsApp Senders
  3. Check "Step 2":
    1. If it says "Link WhatsApp Business Account with your number.", then you can onboard using Self Sign-Up.
    2. If it says "Fill out your client's information", then you can onboard using Guided Onboarding.
