Deleting Individual Call Recordings Directly in the Twilio Console

Objective

Provide step-by-step instructions for deleting individual call recordings directly from the Twilio Console interface.

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

  • Administrator
  • Developer

 

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Twilio Console.
  2. Navigate to Communications > Voice > Logs.
  3. Select the Call Recordings tab at the top of the section.
  4. Locate the specific recording you wish to remove and click on its timestamp / Call Details to open the details page.
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the red Delete The Recording button to permanently remove it.

 

Additional Information

  1. Deleting a recording through the console is irreversible. Once confirmed, the audio file and its associated media URL cannot be recovered.
  2. You can also delete recordings programmatically by issuing a DELETE request through the Twilio Recording API. Please refer to the Recording API documentation for complete API specifications.
