Objective
This article helps you create a sender pool and choose the senders it contains, so your application can reference a single pool ID instead of individual phone numbers, WhatsApp senders, or email addresses.
Product
Communication APIs
Environment
Twilio Console
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
- Open the Communication APIs Sender Pools page.
- Select Create sender pool. The Create sender pool panel opens.
- In Sender pool name, enter a unique name for the pool.
- Under Select senders, select the check box next to each sender you want in the pool. Each row shows the Sender address, its Channel, and its Traffic status.
- To narrow the list of senders, use the Channel filter (SMS, RCS, Email, WhatsApp, or Push) or the Traffic status filter (Active or Inactive), then select Apply.
- Select Create sender pool.
- A confirmation appears telling you that creation has started and that the pool will appear once it is created.
Additional Information
- Sender pool name is required, and the name must be unique.
- The sender list is paged five senders at a time, so use the filters if the sender you want is not on the first page.
- Creation is asynchronous — the new pool appears in the table once it finishes being created, so you may need to refresh the list.
- If creation fails, a message reports that there was a problem creating the sender pool.
- Select Cancel to close the panel without creating anything.
