Objective
This article lists the filters available across the Messaging Insights tabs and shows you how to apply them, so you can narrow every chart and metric down to the traffic you actually care about.
Product
Programmable Messaging
Environment
Twilio Console
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
- Select Messaging, then Insights.
- Select the tab you want to filter, for example Delivery and Errors.
- Select a filter from the filter bar above the charts. The available filters are:
- Date range
- Error code
- Delivery status
- Latency bucket
- To country
- From country
- Carriers
- Sender types
- Messaging service
- Twilio number
- From number
- To number
- Used scheduling
- Number of segments
- Subaccount
- Channel
- Response Type
- Choose the values you want. Multi-select filters let you pick several values at once; Twilio number, From number and To number accept a partial number to match against.
- Select Apply. Every metric and chart on the tab reloads, and the applied filters appear as chips in the filter bar.
- To remove a filter, open its chip and clear the selection.
Additional Information
- All dates and times are in UTC.
- Filters carry across the Insights tabs, so a filter you set on one tab still applies when you move to another.
- The available values for Carriers, Channel, Delivery status, Error code, countries, Messaging service, Sender types, Subaccount, Number of segments, Latency bucket and Response Type are drawn from your own account's traffic, so a list can be short or empty on a new account.
- Most multi-select filters can be set to match or exclude the values you choose.
- Some filters only make sense in one direction — a card that cannot be evaluated under the filters you applied is skipped rather than shown with misleading data.
- When you open the message log from a chart or a top issue card, your current filters are carried into it.
