How do I delete a sender pool?

Objective

This article helps you permanently remove a sender pool you no longer need, and explains what stops working once you do.

Product

Communication APIs

Environment

Twilio Console

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
  2. Open the Communication APIs Sender Pools page.
  3. Find the pool you want to remove and select Delete in its row. Alternatively, select the pool's name to open it and select Delete sender pool.
  4. The Delete sender pool dialog asks you to confirm, warning that the action cannot be undone and that any operations or flows using the pool will no longer be able to send messages.
  5. Select Delete.
  6. A confirmation appears telling you the sender pool was deleted successfully. If you deleted the pool from its own page, you are returned to the sender pools list.

Additional Information

  • Deleting a sender pool cannot be undone.
  • Any operations or flows that reference the deleted pool can no longer send messages, so update your Communication APIs calls to use a different pool ID first.
  • Deleting a pool does not delete the senders it contained — they remain available to add to other pools.
