Objective
This article explains how to see which of your subaccounts generated usage in a given month and how much each one spent, so you can attribute cost across the accounts under your main account.

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required
The Spend column and the Total row appear only for users whose role includes permission to view spend. If you cannot see spend, contact your organization or account administrator.
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Billing in the left sidebar.
- Select Account usage.
- Under Usage summary, select By subaccounts.
- Select the Month filter and choose the month you want to review.
- Review the table columns: Subaccount name and Spend where available. The Total row at the bottom sums the spend for the current page of results.
- To limit the list, select the Subaccount state filter and choose All, Open, Suspended, or Closed.
- Use Next and Previous below the table to page through subaccounts.
- To drill into a single subaccount, select its name. The Usage by product page opens for that subaccount with the same month still selected.
Additional Information
- This view is available on a main account. It is not shown when you are already viewing a subaccount.
- You cannot open the by-product view for a closed subaccount, so filter by Open before drilling in.
- If the account has no subaccounts, the page shows "No subaccounts yet" with the note that usage broken down by subaccounts appears here once you create a subaccount.
- The page header shows the date the usage figures were last updated, along with a note about what usage summary figures exclude.
