How do I remove an address from my global unsubscribe list?

Objective

This article shows you how to take a recipient off your Twilio Email global unsubscribe list so that they become eligible to receive your email again, once they have opted back in.

Product

Twilio Email

Environment

Twilio Console

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

You need a role with permission to view and manage email suppressions. Without it, Suppressions does not appear under Email in the sidebar.

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Email, then Suppressions.
  3. Open the Global Unsubscribes tab.
  4. Find the address you want to remove, using the search box or Next and Previous to page through the list.
  5. Tick the checkbox on that row, then select Delete selected and confirm in the dialog by selecting Delete selected.
  6. The row disappears from the table and the search box is cleared automatically so you see the current list.
  7. To clear the whole list instead, select Delete all and confirm by selecting Delete all.

Additional Information

  • Deleting global unsubscribes is permanent and cannot be undone.
  • Only remove a recipient who has given you renewed consent to email them. Re-sending to someone who chose to unsubscribe risks spam complaints and may breach anti-spam rules.
