How do I track OTP conversion rates?

Objective

This article shows you where to find one-time passcode (OTP) conversion data in Messaging Insights, including the per-country breakdown, so you can see how many verification messages actually resulted in a completed verification.

Product

Programmable Messaging

Environment

Twilio Console

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Messaging, then Insights.
  3. Select the Engagement tab.
  4. Find the OTP Conversion section, and within it the One-Time-Password (OTP) Conversion Rates chart.
  5. Read the four summary cards above the chart:
  6. Messages Attempted
  7. Status OK
  8. Conversions
  9. Countries
  10. Review the OTP Messages Volume chart to see how those figures move over the selected date range.
  11. Scroll to Passcode Message Conversion Rates by Country. The table lists Country, OTP Conversion Rate, OTP Attempted, OTP Status OK and OTP Conversions.
  12. To take the country table away with you, select Download CSV on that card.

Additional Information

  • The figures follow the date range and the other filters at the top of the page.
  • If your account has no verification traffic in the selected window, the chart shows No Results Found and the table shows "No one-time passcode (OTP) traffic found".
  • If the data behind the chart cannot be loaded, the card shows Something went wrong; the other cards on the tab keep rendering their own data.
  • Countries reports how many distinct destination countries appear in the OTP traffic for the window.
