How do I see how many messages are scheduled?

Objective

This article shows you where Messaging Insights reports on messages you have scheduled for future delivery, so you can confirm an upcoming send is queued as expected and see when the volume will land.

Product

Programmable Messaging

Environment

Twilio Console

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Messaging, then Insights.
  3. Select the Engagement tab.
  4. Scroll to the Engagement Suite section and select Scheduling.
  5. Select the Date Range filter on the card and choose how far ahead to look:
  6. Next 24 hours
  7. Next 7 days
  8. Next 30 days
  9. Read Total scheduled messages for the count of messages queued in that window.
  10. Review the Scheduled Messages chart to see when the scheduled volume is due to send. The card description reports the total messages plotted.
  11. Select Show Hourly or Show Daily to change the grouping of the chart.

Additional Information

  • Unlike the rest of the Engagement tab, this view looks forward rather than back, so it uses its own Date Range filter rather than the page-level date range.
  • The card includes a "Want to see insights for sent messages?" prompt that points you at the views covering messages that have already been sent.
  • Message scheduling is an add-on. If it is not enabled on your account, the section shows Unlock Message Scheduling with a Learn how to use Message Scheduling link instead of the metrics.
