Objective
This article explains how to add extra email addresses that receive your Twilio billing and payment emails, so colleagues outside the default recipients — for example a shared finance inbox — get copies.
Product
Twilio Billing
Environment
Twilio Console
User Account Permission/Role(s) Required
You need permission to update notification settings for the billing group. Without it, the Add additional recipients action is not shown.
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Billing in the left sidebar.
- Select Billing. The overview for your billing group opens.
- In the billing group's navigation, select Settings, then Notifications.
- In the Email recipients row, select Add additional recipients.
- In Update additional recipients, type an address in Email address 1.
- To add more, select + Add another email and fill in the next field. To remove one, select Delete beside it.
- Select Save recipients.
- A confirmation message reads "Additional recipients saved." and the addresses are listed under Email recipients.
Additional Information
- Owners, administrators, and billing users still receive billing and payment emails; the addresses you add here are in addition to them. Account owners always appear first in the recipient list.
- Each field must contain a valid email address. Empty or malformed entries show "Enter an email address." or "Enter a valid email address." and nothing is saved.
- To remove an address permanently, delete its field and select Save recipients.
- If the update cannot be saved, a message reads "Unable to update additional recipients. Please try again later."
