Objective
This article shows you how to review the addresses on your Twilio Email blocks list, understand why each was blocked, and remove entries so those recipients can receive your email again.
Product
Twilio Email
Environment
Twilio Console
User Account Permission/Role(s) Required
You need a role with permission to view and manage email suppressions. Without it, Suppressions does not appear under Email in the sidebar.
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
- Select Email, then Suppressions.
- Open the Blocks tab. The table lists each blocked address with Email, Date, and Reason.
- To find one address, type it into the search box. Clear the box to show the whole list again.
- To limit the list by when the block was recorded, select Add filters, choose Date Range, pick an option such as Last 3 Days, and select Apply. Select Clear all to remove the filters.
- Use Next and Previous below the table to page through a long list.
- To remove specific entries, tick the checkbox on each row you want, then select Delete selected. Confirm in the dialog titled "Delete selected blocks?" by selecting Delete selected. A confirmation message reads "Successfully deleted selected blocks."
- To clear the entire list, select Delete all and confirm in the dialog titled "Delete all blocks?". A confirmation message reads "Successfully deleted all blocks."
Additional Information
- Deleting blocks is permanent and cannot be undone.
- Delete selected appears only once you have selected at least one row.
- When the list is empty the page shows "No blocks yet", and the Export all and Delete all actions are unavailable.
- An address is blocked because the receiving mail server rejected the message. Removing the block lets you send again, but if the underlying reason has not changed the address is likely to be blocked once more.
