Objective
This article shows you how to open one of your dedicated IP addresses and change its settings: whether it uses automated warmup, whether your own account may send from it, and which IP pools it belongs to.
Product
Twilio Email
Environment
Twilio Console
User Account Permission/Role(s) Required
You need a role with permission to view and manage email settings. Without it, Settings does not appear under Email in the sidebar.
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
- Select Email, then Settings.
- Open the IP Addresses tab, then Dedicated IP addresses.
- Select the edit action on the row for the IP address you want. The page title shows the IP address.
- On the General tab, review the Region the IP address is provisioned in.
- Turn Use automated IP warmup on to let Twilio ramp your sending volume up gradually, or off to manage the warmup yourself.
- Turn Allow my account to send mail using this IP address on or off to control whether the account you are in may send from this address.
- Each change is saved as you make it. A confirmation message reads "Settings updated successfully".
- Review Assigned pools to see the Pool name and Pool ID of every IP pool this address belongs to.
Additional Information
- Allow my account to send mail using this IP address cannot be changed while the IP address is assigned to an IP pool. Remove it from its pools first.
- If the address is not in any pool, the pools table shows "No assigned IP pools".
- Use the Subaccounts enabled tab to control which subaccounts may send from this IP address.
