Product
Twilio Email
Environment
Twilio Console
User Account Permission/Role(s) Required
You need a role with permission to view and manage email suppressions. Without it, Suppressions does not appear under Email in the sidebar.
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
- Select Email, then Suppressions.
- Open the Bounces tab. The table lists each bounced address with Email, Date, and Reason.
- To find one address, type it into the search box. Clear the box to show the whole list again.
- To limit the list by when the bounce was recorded, select Add filters, choose Date Range, pick an option such as Last 3 Days, and select Apply. Select Clear all to remove the filters.
- Use Next and Previous below the table to page through a long list.
- To remove specific entries, tick the checkbox on each row you want, then select Delete selected. Confirm in the dialog titled "Delete selected bounces?" by selecting Delete selected. A confirmation message reads "Successfully deleted selected bounces."
- To clear the entire list, select Delete all and confirm in the dialog titled "Delete all bounces?". A confirmation message reads "Successfully deleted all bounces."
Additional Information
- Deleting bounces is permanent and cannot be undone.
- Delete selected appears only once you have selected at least one row.
- When the list is empty the page shows "No bounces yet", and the Export all and Delete all actions are unavailable.
- A hard bounce usually means the address does not exist. Removing it from the list does not make the address valid, so repeated sends to it will bounce again and can harm your sender reputation.
