Objective
This article shows you how to have Twilio Email forward a copy of the spam complaints reported against your mail to a mailbox you choose, so you can react quickly when recipients mark your email as spam.
Product
Twilio Email
Environment
Twilio Console
User Account Permission/Role(s) Required
You need a role with permission to view and manage email settings. Without it, Settings does not appear under Email in the sidebar.
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
- Select Email, then Settings.
- On the Event tab, find the Forward Spam Messages section.
- Set Enable forward spam reports to On.
- Enter the destination in the Email address field.
- Select Save in that section. A confirmation message reads "Forward spam settings updated successfully".
Additional Information
- To turn forwarding off, set the section to Off and select Save. The email address field is hidden while it is off.
- Not all mailbox service providers supply spam reports, so the forwarded messages may not account for every spam complaint against your email.
- Forward Spam Messages and Forward Bounce Messages are saved independently, each with its own Save button.
