Objective
This article explains how to review your account's Twilio usage broken down by product for a given month, including quantities and spend, so you can understand what is driving your bill.
Product
Twilio Console
Environment
Twilio Console
User Account Permission/Role(s) Required
Everyone with access to the account can see usage quantities. The Spend column and the Total row appear only for users whose role includes permission to view spend. If you cannot see spend, contact your organization or account administrator.
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Billing in the left sidebar.
- Select Account usage. The Usage by product page opens under Usage summary.
- Select the Month filter and choose the month you want to review.
- Review the table columns: Product, Logs, Quantity, and Spend where available.
- To narrow the results to a single subaccount, select the Subaccount filter and choose a subaccount, or leave it on All subaccounts.
- To see the detail behind a product, select the expand control in the first column header. Each product expands into its usage subgroups, each with its own quantity and spend.
Additional Information
- The page header shows the date the usage figures were last updated, along with a note about what usage summary figures exclude.
- The Month filter description reads "View usage data up to 12 months into the past. Dates based in UTC." Some accounts can instead view usage back to the account's creation date.
- If there is no usage for the month and filters you picked, the table shows a "No usage" empty state. Change the month or clear the subaccount filter to see data.
- Trial accounts have no billable usage to show, so the page displays an empty state instead of a usage table.
- The page header also links to the billing usage insights report and, where available, to your billing group overview.
