You need a role with permission to view and manage email sender authentication. Without it, Domains does not appear under Email in the sidebar.
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
- Select Email, then Domains.
- On the Domain Authentication tab, select Create authenticated domain.
- On the Set up your domain step, enter the domain you want to send your emails from in the Domain field.
- Optionally expand Advanced Settings to change how the records are generated. You can Enable link branding, Use custom return path, Use custom link subdomain, Use custom DKIM selector, or Enable Valimail monitoring.
- Select Next. Twilio creates the domain and generates its DNS records.
- On the Install DNS Records step, choose how to publish the records:
- Automated setup hands the records to your domain provider for you.
- Manual setup shows a table of Type, Host, Value, and Status so you (or a colleague) can add each record at your registrar.
- Select Complete. A confirmation message reads "Authenticated domain created successfully" and you return to the Domain Authentication list with your new domain shown.

- Domain is required. Selecting Next with the field empty shows the validation message "Domain is required".
- DNS changes take time to propagate. The domain can stay unverified until your provider publishes the records; open the domain from the list later to re-check its status.
