How do I view and remove spam reports?

Objective

This article shows you how to review the recipients who reported your email as spam, and how to remove entries from that list when you have permission to contact those recipients again.

Product

Twilio Email

Environment

Twilio Console

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

You need a role with permission to view and manage email suppressions. Without it, Suppressions does not appear under Email in the sidebar.

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Email, then Suppressions.
  3. Open the Spam Reports tab. The table lists each report with Email and Date.
  4. To find one address, type it into the search box. Clear the box to show the whole list again.
  5. To limit the list by date, select Add filters, choose Date Range, pick an option such as Last 3 Days, and select Apply. Select Clear all to remove the filters.
  6. Use Next and Previous below the table to page through a long list.
  7. To remove specific entries, tick the checkbox on each row you want, then select Delete selected. Confirm in the dialog titled "Delete selected spam reports?" by selecting Delete selected. A confirmation message reads "Successfully deleted selected spam reports."
  8. To clear the entire list, select Delete all and confirm in the dialog titled "Delete all Spam Reports?". A confirmation message reads "Successfully deleted all spam reports."

Additional Information

  • Deleting spam reports is permanent and cannot be undone.
  • When the list is empty the page shows "No spam reports yet", and the Export all and Delete all actions are unavailable.
  • A spam report means the recipient explicitly marked your message as unwanted. Sending to them again without fresh consent risks further complaints and damage to your sender reputation.
