Environment
Twilio Console
User Account Permission/Role(s) Required
You need a role with permission to view and manage email suppressions. Without it, Suppressions does not appear under Email in the sidebar.
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
- Select Email, then Suppressions.
- Open the Group Unsubscribes tab. The table lists each opt-out with Email, Suppression Category, and Date.
- To find one recipient, type their address, or the start of it, into the search box. Clear the box to show the whole list again.
- To limit the list by date, select Add filters, choose Date Range, pick an option such as Last 3 Days, and select Apply. Select Clear all to remove the filters.
- Use Next and Previous below the table to page through a long list.
- To remove an entry, tick the checkbox on its row, then select Delete selected and confirm in the dialog titled "Delete selected group unsubscribes?" by selecting Delete selected.
- The row disappears from the table.
Additional Information
- Suppression Category names the unsubscribe group the recipient opted out of, so you can tell which type of email they no longer want.
- To manage the groups themselves, use the unsubscribe groups link in the page description, which takes you to the Unsubscribe Groups tab.
- When there are no opt-outs yet, the page shows "No group unsubscribes yet" with a Go to unsubscribe groups action.
- Only remove an entry when the recipient has asked to receive that type of email again.
