How do I edit or delete a usage trigger?

Objective

This article explains how to change the notification settings on an existing usage trigger, or remove a trigger you no longer need, so your usage alerts stay accurate.

Product

Twilio Console

Environment

Twilio Console

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

You need permission to view and update usage triggers. Without it, the page shows "Access is required" with the message "To view or update usage triggers, you need additional permissions. Contact your organization or account administrator."

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Billing in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Account usage.
  3. Select Usage Triggers.
  4. Find the trigger in the list and open its Actions menu.
  5. To change it, select Edit, update the fields you can change, and select Submit. A confirmation message names the trigger and confirms it was updated.
  6. To remove it, select Delete, read the "Delete trigger?" dialog confirming that the action cannot be undone, and select Delete. A confirmation message reads that the trigger was deleted.

Additional Information

  • When editing, the name, notification method, and notification destination can be changed. The usage category, measurement type, threshold value, and recurrence are fixed once the trigger is created — create a new trigger if you need different values.
  • Deletion cannot be undone.
  • If a trigger cannot be deleted, a message reads that it could not be deleted at this time and to try again later.
  • Use the page size selector below the table to show 10, 20, 50, or 100 triggers at a time.
