Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
- Select Messaging, then Templates.
- Select Create new template.
- Enter a Template name and select a Template language.
- Under Content type, select Flows, then select Continue.
- In the Flows section, open Type and choose the purpose of your form, such as Sign Up, Sign In, Appointment Booking, Lead Generation, Contact Us, Customer Support, Survey, or Other.
- Enter the message that introduces the form in Body, and the label that opens it in Button text. Add a Subtitle and Image URL if you want them.
- In the Page 1 section, enter a Page Title and a Page ID.
- In the Component 1 section, open Component Type and choose the field or content you want on the page, for example Short text, Long text, Date picker, Single select, Multi select, or Text heading.
- Fill in the fields for that component, such as Label and Text, and turn on Required question if an answer is mandatory.
- Add more components to the page, or add another page, and repeat steps 8 to 10 for each.
- Select Save.
Additional Information
- A Flows template can have up to 10 pages, each page up to 10 components, and each selection component up to 10 items.
- Page ID only accepts alphabetic characters and underscores.
- Body allows up to 1024 characters, Button text up to 25, and Subtitle up to 60.
- Min date, Max date, and Unavailable dates on a date picker component apply to WhatsApp only.
- Flows templates are eligible for WhatsApp business-initiated messages and Apple Messages for Business. WhatsApp requires approval before you can send a business-initiated Flows message.
