How do I revoke an identity's access to a Sync List?

Objective

This article helps you remove a client identity's read, write, and manage access to a Sync List, so that identity can no longer use the List or its items.

Product

Twilio Sync

Environment

Twilio Console

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

Your user role must allow reading Twilio Sync Services to open the List, and updating them to change its permissions.

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Builder tools in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Sync, then Services.
  3. In the Name column, select the Service that holds the List.
  4. Select the Lists tab, then select the List's SID to open it.
  5. Select the Permissions tab.
  6. Find the identity you want to remove, open its row actions menu, and select Delete.
  7. Read the Remove permissions for confirmation, which names the identity and states that read, write, and manage access to the List are all revoked.
  8. Select Remove to confirm, or Cancel to keep the access.
  9. The console confirms the removal and the identity is removed from the table. If no identities remain, the tab shows "No identities have explicit access".

Additional Information

  • Removing revokes read, write, and manage access together. To keep partial access instead, use Edit on the row and clear only the settings you want to remove.
  • Deleting the Sync List itself also removes every permission on it.
