User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

Your user needs the content templates create permission for the account.

 

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Messaging, then Templates.
  3. Select Create new template.
  4. Enter a Template name and select a Template language.
  5. Under Content type, select Card, then select Continue.
  6. In the Card section, fill in the card content:
  7. Title — the card heading.
  8. Body — the card message.
  9. Subtitle — optional supporting line.
  10. Media URL — optional image, audio, document, or video address.
  11. Optionally adjust Orientation, Height, and Thumbnail image alignment.
  12. Under Button 1, open Type of action and choose an action such as Quick reply, then enter the button label in Button text.
  13. To add another button, select Add button and repeat step 8.
  14. Select Save.

 

Additional Information

  • You must fill in at least one of Title or Body; saving with both empty returns "At least one of Title or Body is required".
  • Title allows up to 1024 characters, Body up to 1600, Subtitle up to 80, and Media URL up to 1600. Variables are not supported in Subtitle.
  • A card can have up to 9 buttons.
  • Orientation, Height, and Thumbnail image alignment only affect RCS.
  • Card templates are eligible for RCS, Facebook Messenger, Apple Messages for Business, and WhatsApp. WhatsApp business-initiated sends require approval first.
