How do I tell Twilio my account is secure after a suspicious activity alert?

Objective

If Twilio locked your account for suspicious activity but you recognize all of the activity as your own, this article helps you raise a ticket telling Twilio your account is secure so the restriction can be reviewed.

Product

Twilio Console

Environment

Twilio Console

Procedure

  1. Sign in to the Twilio Console. When your account has been locked for suspicious activity, the account status area at the top of the page shows a Suspended badge.
  2. Select the Suspended badge, then select Recover account. The Account Activity Review page opens.
  3. Review the recent IP address usage and the other recommended places to investigate, and confirm that you recognize all of the activity.
  4. Select Raise a ticket if you feel your account is secure.
  5. Wait for the confirmation message Your feedback has been submitted. We will review your account and respond shortly.

Additional Information

  • Only one ticket can be raised per account. If a ticket already exists, the page shows A ticket has already been created for this account.
  • Use this option only when the activity on the page is genuinely yours. If any of it is unfamiliar, select Start account recovery flow instead.
