How do I see the messages and participants in a conversation?

Objective

This article helps you open a single logged conversation and inspect what happened in it, its properties, every message that was posted, and everyone who took part.

Product

Twilio Conversations

Environment

Twilio Console

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Conversations (classic), then Logs.
  3. Select the conversation you want to inspect. The page header shows its name, SID, and the dates it was created and last updated.
  4. On the Properties tab, review the conversation's Type, Unique name, and Channel SID.
  5. Select the Messages tab to see each message's SID, From, Body, Media, Date created, and Date updated.
  6. Select the Participants tab to see each participant's SID, Identity, Role, Date created, and Date updated.

Additional Information

The Messages and Participants tabs carry a count badge, shown as an exact number or with a trailing plus sign when there is more than one page of records. A field with no value is shown as a dash. If the conversation cannot be found or fails to load, the page reports that the conversation could not be found or there was an error loading it.
