User Account Permission/Role(s) Required
Your user role must allow reading Voice settings.
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
- Select Voice, then Settings.
- Select Log archives, then Custom jobs.
- Select Create custom job. A Create custom job form opens.
- Under Export type, choose Calls, Conferences, or Conference participants. Calls is selected by default.
- Enter a Friendly name, a unique identifier for this export job.
- Under Date range, set a Start date and an End date.
- Optionally, under Configure Notifications, enter a Webhook URL and choose an HTTP method (POST or GET), and enter an Email address, to be notified when the files are ready.
- Select Generate files.
- A confirmation appears reading "Custom job created" with the message "The custom job has been created successfully.", and the form closes. The job appears in the Past Jobs table.
Additional Information
- Export type, Friendly name, Start date, and End date are all required. Submitting the form empty keeps it open.
- The end date must be on or after the start date. Otherwise you see "End Date must be a date after the Start Date".
- Each file covers a single 24-hour period based on the UTC timezone. Dates within the last two days cannot be exported yet.
- Generating files may take several hours, which is why the webhook and email notification fields are offered.
- If the date range overlaps an export you already requested, an Overlapping export request message explains the conflict.
- Files are removed automatically after seven days.
- Log archives are available only in the United States (US1) region.
