How do I delete an origination URI from an Elastic SIP Trunk?

Objective

This article shows you how to remove an origination URI from an Elastic SIP Trunk so Twilio stops routing inbound calls to that SIP address.

Product

Elastic SIP Trunking

Environment

Twilio Console

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

Your role must include permission to update SIP trunks.

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Voice, then Elastic SIP Trunking.
  3. On the SIP trunks tab, select the trunk, then open the Origination tab.
  4. In the Origination URIs table, open the Actions menu on the URI's row and select Delete.
  5. An Origination URL deleted. confirmation appears and the URI is removed from the table.

Additional Information

  • If you only want to pause traffic to a URI, edit it and clear Route calls to this URI instead of deleting it.
  • Deleting the trunk removes all of its origination URIs at once.
