How do I delete a Conversations (classic) service?

Objective

This article helps you permanently remove a Conversations (classic) service you no longer need, and tells you what to check before you do.

Product

Twilio Conversations

Environment

Twilio Console

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Conversations (classic), then Services.
  3. Select the friendly name of the service you want to delete.
  4. Select Delete service in the page header.
  5. In the Delete this service? dialog, confirm the service named in the message, then select Delete service. Select Cancel to keep it.
  6. A confirmation message reads Conversations (classic) service deleted along with the service SID, and you are returned to the Services list.

Additional Information

Deleting a service cannot be undone, and everything held inside that service goes with it. If the service is set as your account's Default Conversations (classic) service under Settings, or is referenced by an address configuration, update those settings before you delete it.
