How do I delete an origination connection policy?

Objective

This article shows you how to permanently remove an origination connection policy you no longer need.

Product

Programmable Voice

Environment

Twilio Console

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

Your role must include permission to delete connection policies. Without it, the Delete this policy action is not shown on the policy's detail page.

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Voice, then Bring your own carrier.
  3. Select the Origination connection policies tab, then select the policy you want to remove.
  4. Select Delete this policy.
  5. The Delete Policy dialog asks you to confirm Delete this origination connection policy, names the policy, and warns that the action cannot be undone.
  6. Select Delete.
  7. A Connection Policy Deleted confirmation appears and the console returns you to the Origination connection policies tab.

Additional Information

  • Select Cancel in the confirmation dialog to keep the policy.
  • Deletion is permanent and removes the policy's origination targets with it.
  • Check the Associated Trunks column on the list first. If a trunk still routes to the policy, point that trunk at a different destination before deleting.
