How do I view my SIP header manipulation policies?

Objective

This article shows you where to find your SIP header manipulation policies, how many rules each one holds, and which trunks use them.

Product

Elastic SIP Trunking

Environment

Twilio Console

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

Your role must include permission to list header manipulation policies. Without it, the page shows an access-denied message instead of the list.

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Voice, then Elastic SIP Trunking.
  3. Select the SIP header manipulations tab.
  4. Review the Header manipulation table columns:
    • Policy friendly name — select it to open the policy.
    • Policy SID — the policy's unique identifier.
    • Rules — how many rules the policy contains.
    • Associated SIP trunks — the trunks using the policy; beyond three, the rest are summarised as "+N more".
  5. Select a policy name to open it and manage its name, rules and deletion.

Additional Information

  • If you have no policies yet, the tab shows No header manipulation policies.
  • Header manipulation policies let you transform SIP headers on calls routed through your trunks. Create a policy, then configure its request and response rules.
  • A policy is applied to a trunk from that trunk's Origination tab, under Origination settings.
