- In the Twilio Console, select Data in the left sidebar.
- Select Enterprise Knowledge, then Knowledge bases.
- Select the knowledge base you want to add content to.
- Select Add Knowledge Source.
- In the Add a new source panel, enter a Name for the source.
- Enter a Description summarizing the indexed data. This description helps determine when the source is used.
- Choose the Data type: Website, Text, or File.
- Fill in the fields for the data type you chose:
- For Website, enter the URL of a publicly accessible page, set Page Depth to control how many links deep to import, and choose an Auto-update schedule of Never, Weekly, Biweekly, or Monthly.
- For Text, paste your content into the Text field.
- For File, select Choose a file and pick the file to upload.
- Select Save new source.
- A confirmation appears and the source is added to the knowledge base table with its Status.
Additional Information
- The name must be at least 5 characters and no more than 30 characters. The description must be at least 10 characters and no more than 1024 characters.
- Page Depth accepts a value from 1 to 10.
- Supported file types are csv, md, pdf, tsv, and txt, and the maximum file size is 16 MB.
- A knowledge base can hold up to 10 knowledge sources. If you reach that limit, delete an existing source before adding a new one.
- If you close the panel before saving, you are asked to confirm that you want to discard the source you were adding.
