How do I refresh a knowledge source?

Objective

This article shows you how to re-import a knowledge source on demand, so your agents work from the current content instead of waiting for the next scheduled update.

Product

Enterprise Knowledge

Environment

Twilio Console

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Data in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Enterprise Knowledge, then Knowledge bases.
  3. Select the knowledge base that contains the source.
  4. Open the menu at the end of the source's row and select Refresh Source.
  5. In the Refresh knowledge source? dialog, confirm the refresh. The dialog notes that the source will refresh everywhere it is being used.
  6. The table reloads and the source's Status and Last Updated values reflect the refresh.

Additional Information

  • Refresh Source is unavailable while the source is already being processed. Wait for the current run to finish before starting another.
  • Refreshing affects the source everywhere it is being used, not only in the knowledge base you are viewing.
  • For a website source you can also set an Auto-update schedule of Weekly, Biweekly, or Monthly so it re-imports without you asking.
