How do I change the use case on the Voice tutorials page?

Objective

This article helps you switch the Voice tutorials page to a different use case, so the steps and resources it shows match the solution you are actually building.

Product

Programmable Voice

Environment

Twilio Console

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

Your user needs permission to view your account's authentication credentials to open the tutorials page. Without it, the page shows an access-required message.

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Voice, then Tutorials.
  3. Select Select another use case in the top right of the page.
  4. In the Select a use case dialog, open the Use case list. It is already set to the use case you are currently viewing.
  5. Choose a use case. The available options are Basic, Call Tracking, Click To Call, Conference Calling, Interactive Voice Response (IVR), Masked Phone Numbers, Outbound Dialer, Phone System, and Web Dialer.
  6. Select Update. The dialog closes and the subtitle under the page title changes to your new choice, for example Use case: Call Tracking, with the steps for that use case below it.

Additional Information

Select Cancel in the dialog to close it without changing anything — the page keeps the use case you were already viewing.

Use cases other than Basic open with an Overview card containing useful resources, and finish with Pro Tip cards. Expanding or collapsing the Account Details section is kept as you move between use cases.
