How do I turn Voice Insights Advanced Features on or off for my subaccounts?

Objective

This article helps you set the Voice Insights plan for the subaccounts under a parent account, either one at a time or several at once, without switching into each subaccount.

Product

Programmable Voice

Environment

Twilio Console

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

Your user needs permission to read the Voice Insights settings to open the page, and permission to update them to change anything. Without the update permission the rows cannot be selected and no bulk action is offered.

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Monitor in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Insights, then Voice.
  3. Select the Settings tab, then select the Subaccounts tab within the settings page.
  4. The table lists your subaccounts with the columns Account Sid, Name, and Status. Status reads enabled or disabled for each subaccount.
  5. To find a specific subaccount, select Add filters and use:
    • Search By — look a subaccount up by Account Sid or by Friendly Name. Both are exact matches.
    • Account Type — choose View All to show every subaccount, or View Insights Enabled to show only the enabled ones.
  6. Select the checkbox on each subaccount you want to change.
  7. Select Enable Voice Insights or Disable Voice Insights. The action shows how many subaccounts you have selected.
  8. A confirmation appears reading Your subaccounts settings have been updated, and the table refreshes with the new statuses.

Additional Information

The Subaccounts tab only appears on a parent account, because a subaccount has none of its own to configure.

Turning Voice Insights Advanced Features off for the parent account itself also turns it off for every subaccount under it — see the article on choosing your Voice Insights plan.

If nothing matches your filters, the table reports No subaccounts found and suggests trying a different value or account type. If the account genuinely has none, it reports No subaccounts.
