Objective
If you already run traffic through a Conversations (classic) service, on its own or as part of Flex, you can ingest that traffic into a Conversation configuration instead of listing individual senders. This article shows you how to connect a service and how to disconnect it again.
Product
Conversation Orchestrator
Environment
Twilio Console
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Orchestration in the left sidebar.
- Select Conversation Orchestrator, then Conversation configurations.
- Select the name of the configuration you want to change.
- Select the Channel Traffic tab and scroll to Connected Conversations (classic) service.
- Select Edit.
- In the panel, select Connect Conversations (classic) service or Flex, then choose the Conversations (classic) service whose traffic you want to capture.
- Select Save changes. The service now appears in the Connected Conversations (classic) service table.
- To disconnect it later, open the service's row action, select Remove, then confirm Remove service in the Remove this Conversations (classic) service? dialog. A confirmation message reads Conversations (classic) service removed.
Additional Information
- Only one Conversations (classic) service can be connected to a Conversation configuration at a time.
- A Conversations (classic) service already combines your SMS, WhatsApp, and chat traffic. If you connect a service and also list individual channel senders, Twilio warns you that duplicate session records may be created when the senders overlap.
- Until a service is connected, the table shows No connected Conversations (classic) service.
