Your role must include permission to read SIP trunks to open the page, and permission to update SIP trunks to attach the purchased number.

 

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Voice, then Elastic SIP Trunking.
  3. On the SIP trunks tab, select the trunk, then open the Numbers tab.
  4. Select Buy a number.
  5. In the Buy a number panel:
    • Choose a Country.
    • Optionally use Search to filter by area code, digits, or locality, for example, 415.
    • Choose a number in the Phone number field. Each option shows the number, its locality and its price.
    • Select Buy and add to trunk.
  6. A Phone number purchased and added to trunk. confirmation appears and the number is listed on the Numbers tab.

 

Additional Information

  • The picker refreshes as you change the country or search text. While it is loading it shows Searching…, and if nothing matches it shows No numbers matched your search.
  • Purchasing a number incurs charges on your account at the price shown in the picker.
  • If the purchase succeeds but attaching fails, the number stays on your account and you can attach it later with Add a number.
