How do I delete a BYOC trunk?

Objective

This article shows you how to permanently remove a Bring your own carrier (BYOC) trunk from your account when you no longer need it.

Product

Programmable Voice

Environment

Twilio Console

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

Your role must include permission to delete BYOC trunks. Without it, the Delete this trunk action is not shown on the trunk's detail page.

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Voice, then Bring your own carrier.
  3. On the Trunks tab, select the trunk you want to remove.
  4. Select Delete this trunk.
  5. In the Delete this BYOC trunk? dialog, confirm that the trunk named is the one you intend to remove, then select Delete.
  6. A BYOC trunk deleted confirmation appears and the console returns you to the trunks list.

Additional Information

  • Select Cancel in the confirmation dialog to keep the trunk.
  • Deletion is permanent. Before deleting, make sure no live traffic depends on the trunk's termination SIP domains or its origination connection policy.
  • Deleting a trunk does not delete the origination connection policy it pointed at. Policies are managed separately on the Origination connection policies tab.
