Objective
This article shows you how to choose which SIP domains terminate traffic on a Bring your own carrier (BYOC) trunk, so your communications infrastructure has a SIP URI it can use to direct traffic towards Twilio.
Product
Programmable Voice
Environment
Twilio Console
User Account Permission/Role(s) Required
Your role must include permission to update BYOC trunks. The Create new SIP domain shortcut inside the dialog appears only if your role also includes permission to create SIP domains.
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
- Select Voice, then Bring your own carrier.
- On the Trunks tab, select the trunk you want to configure.
- In the Termination SIP domains section, select Edit termination.
- In the Edit termination SIP domains dialog, use the SIP domains field to select one or more domains. You can type to filter the list.
- Select Save. The Termination SIP domains section now lists the domains you selected.
Additional Information
- Don't have a suitable domain yet? Select Create new SIP domain in the dialog to open the Create SIP Domain wizard, then return to the trunk and select the new domain.
- The domain currently used as the trunk's From domain cannot be removed from the termination list while it is still set as the from domain. Change the from domain first.
- Select Show localized URIs in the same section to see the region-specific SIP domain URIs you can point your infrastructure at.
- Select Cancel to close the dialog without changing the trunk.
