Objective
This article helps you compare the two Voice Insights plans and switch between them. Voice Insights Advanced Features adds a metrics page showing the event stream and time-series data for key quality indicators during calls and conferences, a subaccount dashboard for parent accounts, and programmatic access to Insights data through the REST API.

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required
Your user needs permission to read the Voice Insights settings to open the page. Changing the plan needs permission to update them — without it, both plan options are unavailable to select.
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Monitor in the left sidebar.
- Select Insights, then Voice.
- Select the Settings tab. The Voice insights settings page shows both plans side by side, with Current plan marked on the one you are on:
- Voice Insights — free. Includes the Call Insights dashboard, the Conference Insights dashboard, call summaries, the Annotations API, and 7 days of historical data.
- Voice Insights Advanced Features — usage-based pricing. Adds the Trust & Engagement Insights dashboard, the Reports API, the Conversation Relay Insights dashboard, the subaccount dashboard, call metrics and events, conference metrics and events, event streams, API access, and 30 days of historical data.
- Select the plan you want.
- Select Save.
- If you are turning Voice Insights Advanced Features off from a parent account, the console asks you to confirm in a Turn off Voice Insights Advanced Features? dialog, which explains that this turns the feature off for this account and for every subaccount under it. Select Turn off to proceed.
- A confirmation appears. Turning the feature off from a parent account reports Voice Insights Advanced Features is off for this account and its subaccounts. Any other change reports Your Voice Insights settings have been saved.
Additional Information
Turning Voice Insights Advanced Features on does not ask for confirmation — it affects only the account you are in.
Select Cancel on the page to discard a plan change you have not saved yet; the selection returns to your current plan. Select Cancel in the confirmation dialog to leave the setting as it is.
The page also links to Learn more about Voice Insights and View pricing.
A subaccount sees the plan choice on its own. A parent account also gets a Subaccounts tab for setting the plan per subaccount.
If the settings cannot be loaded, the page reports Unable to load settings and offers a Try again action rather than showing a plan as selected.
