How do I delete an origination target?

Objective

This article shows you how to remove an origination target from an origination connection policy so Twilio stops routing calls to that SIP address.

Product

Programmable Voice

Environment

Twilio Console

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

Your role must include permission to delete origination targets on connection policies. Without it, the Delete action is not available in the target's row menu.

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Voice, then Bring your own carrier.
  3. Select the Origination connection policies tab, then select the policy that holds the target.
  4. In the targets table, open the Actions menu on the target's row and select Delete.
  5. The Delete Origination Target dialog confirms you are about to delete this origination target, shows its SIP URI, and warns that you cannot undo this action.
  6. Select Delete.
  7. An Origination target deleted confirmation appears and the target is removed from the table.

Additional Information

  • Select Cancel in the confirmation dialog to keep the target.
  • If you only want to stop traffic temporarily, edit the target and set it to Disable instead of deleting it.
