Objective
This article helps you add another IP address or network range to an existing IP access control list, so traffic from a new office, data centre, or host is allowed.
Product
Programmable Voice
Environment
Twilio Console
User Account Permission/Role(s) Required
Your user must have permission to update Voice SIP IP access control lists on the account.
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
- Select Voice, then SIP domains.
- Select the IP access control lists tab, then select the friendly name of the list you want to extend.
- In the IP Address Ranges section, select Create IP Address.
- In Create a new IP address range, enter an IP Address Range friendly name to identify the range.
- Enter the CIDR network address.
- Choose a Range value, or leave it at the default 32 to allow a single IP address.
- Select Create.
- An IP address range created confirmation appears, the panel closes, and the new range appears in the table alongside its friendly name.
Additional Information
- The friendly name is optional; the CIDR network address is required. Submitting without it shows "CIDR network address is required".
- An invalid address — an out-of-range value such as 999.999.999.999, or an address with only three parts — shows "Please enter a valid IP address." Correcting the value clears the message.
- An IP access control list may hold up to 100 IP addresses in total across its ranges.
- Select Cancel to close the panel without adding a range.
- If the range cannot be created, Error creating IP address range appears and nothing is added.
